Our Response to Pragya Goel's False Public Remarks

It is unfortunate to witness false remarks spread online against "Arey Pata Hai?!"

While we take the due legal course of action, we believe it is essential for the public to know the entire truth. Here is the whole story.

From her remarks, it may seem like we got videos edited by her and did not pay her dues. The truth is that she failed to deliver anything due to her lack of skills and tools, and we still offered to pay for her efforts.

  1. Miss Pragya Goel was hired to provide video editing services.
  2. While she claimed to have had a good experience, we realised in a few days that it was taking her longer than usual to edit the videos. The basic changes mentioned were being missed.
  3. We tried to give her smaller projects (1-minute videos), but they were again not edited as per the requirements over several days. Having worked with enough editors, we do know the average time it takes for the quality we need. But we still stayed patient.
  4. Over the two weeks, while she claimed she had worked entire days, she also revealed that she lacked the skills and tools to provide the services and, thus, could not deliver even a single minute of publishable content.
  5. Due to this new information and after trying our best, we had to terminate the contract immediately due to a breach of material terms (i.e. misrepresentation of skills, tools, and ability to provide the services).
  6. She even admitted (in writing) that she has provided no value to us within the two weeks she has worked.
  7. We were stranded with no single publishable quality content from her over the two weeks.
  8. However, as human beings and as a culture at Arey Pata Hai of kindness and empathy, despite no services being delivered, we wanted to reimburse her for the efforts she said she had put in. We put every rate there as per industry standards despite having no work of hers in our hands.
  9. At Arey Pata Hai or any of our previous companies, we have never held back or delayed any payments for anybody. One of the moral rules we follow is to pay all invoices within 24 hours of receiving them.
  10. She had accepted the full settlement and had sent the invoice (screenshot below).
  11. She threatened to blackmail us by destroying our reputation even after accepting the payment, therefore, we had to get a Full Settlement Letter signed.

Below are all the screenshots to tell the whole story to the public while we take the necessary legal action for the defamation.

Her attempt to defame us by talking to our previous editors

However, we have never had such a situation, and all our previous and current team members can vouch for one thing – nobody has to follow up twice for any invoice. All dues are cleared within 24 hours.
